Arenas Suspended For Remainder of Season

The Washington Wizards have suffered from a major loss.  Their all-star point guard had been indefinitely suspended for bringing a gun into the Wizard’s locker room after an altercation with a teammate.  Apparently, Javaris Crittenton and Arenas got into a fight after a poker game, and both brought fire arms into the locker room as a pointless way of imitation.  Crittenton was also suspended from the remainder of the 09′-10′ season.  Neither player will be paid while they serve their suspension time.  Arenas will not be being paid his $147,200 per game and Crittenton will not receive his $13,435 per game.

This is just the beginning of Gilbert’s problems though.  He pleaded guilty to felony gun charges on January 15th and has not been sentenced yet.  The punishment in Washington, D.C. has a minimum of one year in jail, so he will be lucky if he only spends that amount of time behind bars.
