Steve Jobs (left) and Bill Gates (right)

Microsoft and Bill Gates used to sit in the throne of the tech industry and rake in millions of dollars a day.  Him and his company changed the way people go about their lives and he will never be forgotten.  But the prince of the tech industry, Apple, has just upgraded their throne to be bigger than the kings, making them the new king.  On Wednesday, Apple’s market capitalization edged past its longtime rival’s as investors made official what consumers of their product have long suggested: Microsoft is no longer the industry’s alpha dog(or king).  Just last month, Microsoft’s market cap was 25 billions dollars greater than Apple’s, but now Apple is in the lead by about 3 billion.  Microsoft struggles to keep up with the competition while Apple comes out with new and popular products, such as the new iPad.  In my opinion, the problem is that Apple is creative, and is not looking to copy and of Microsoft’s ideas.  Microsoft is on the other end of this, constantly trying to mimic what Apple puts out on the market.

Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack

Five months after Brittany Murphy passed away, her husband Simon Monjack a screenwriter who was only 39, followed. On Sunday, May 23, 2010, Monjack was found unresponsive on the same bed his wife was found dead on. Authorities say that Monjack died of a heart attack similar to that of which caused Murphy’s death. Monjack’s representative, Roger Neal assured that Monjack’s death was not a suicide and also revealed that Monjack mentioned that he was planning on having a surgery late this year to fix his heart problems.

Monjack’s mother said that her son ‘died of a broken-heart’, claiming that Monjack’s heart problems were always known but that the sorrow of Murphy’s death aggravated the problems much more. She said: “He’s had heart problems and been in deep distress since Brittany died. We think he has literally died of a broken heart.”

Although they both died too young, Monjack and Murphy will be brought together again as Monjack will be buried next to his wife at Forest Lawn Memorial .

Recently I heard about some teenagers having their parents as a friend on Facebook. They said that although their parents are their friend they still block them for some things. Isn’t the whole reason why a parent would have a Facebook to see what their kids are doing? Facebook is created to keep in touch with people that you haven’t talk to. For a parent that is great to catch up with people they haven’t seen for a while. But to use it to sneak up on your kids is distrust. Plus for a teen to block their parents obviously their is things they don’t want their parents to see. My Mom honestly I don’t even think knows how to get on Facebook and make a page. Would you care that your parents were spying on you and your friends? Does it even matter? Or is the whole thing distrust and having private settings is sneaky?

Megan Fox

Paramount Pictures announced last week that Megan Fox, who was Shia LaBeouf’s romantic partner in the first two “Transformers” movies, would not be in the next one. Sources claim that Michael Bay, the director of the blockbuster, decided to drop Fox because she was uncooperative and difficult to work with. This is not news to us all as the unfriendly relationship between Bay and Fox was always known. During an interview with Wonderland Magazine in October 2009, Fox said: “ Michael Bay is like Napoleon, he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.” After the October issue of the magazine was released, Bay fired back and posted an open letter, criticizing the actress of being “the grump of the set” who was also “thankless, classless, graceless and unfriendly.” “Transformers 3” is expected to be released in July next year and we are all so excited to see who will be good enough to replace Megan Fox!

Facebook

Facebook has faced a lot of criticism lately with its privacy policy. The newest feature deriving critique is called “Instant Personalization”, which allows websites to personalize your experience based on the public information into your Facebook profile. It has allegedly been exposing users’ private information to the public without their consent. Facebook has also changed its privacy policy so that public information on users’ profiles such as “current city, hometown, education and work, and likes and interests” would be transformed into “connections” that can be shared openly on sites with similar interests. These two new features are ways Facebook profit from users’, selling information to websites and marketing campaigns. It is expected that more advertisers and marketers will partner with Facebook, which means that Facebook will continue to update its privacy policy, exposing more and more of users’ information each time.

After reviewing the countless evidence of the 35th President assassination, no one has come to a real clear conclusion. But lets start at the beginning why would anyone want to kill a president so badly. This is debatable, some say it was his decision of not providing supplies in Cuba or his opinion of Communism. Now look at the facts the public knows. The man who claimed to kill JFK was named Oswald. Not only did he supposedly shoot three insanely hard shots but it was using a gun from World War 2. But shortly after he was arrested he was killed.  So we will never really know exactly if he was the one or not.  The next witness was a train tower commander, he saw two men and a bright flash.  The train commander knowing shortly afterwards, that there was something wrong with the President.  The train commander was then killed two years after the assassination.  As you continued to investigate the assassination, there are many pieces missing or pieces that don’t fit. But this is all up to you, an American mystery that not even the professionals can solve.
