Looking forward to the break

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest holidays of the year.  Most people gather with family and friends to eat turkey and a ton of other food.  After Thanksgiving you always feel sick because you ate too much food.  But Thanksgiving is not all about the food.  It is a time time be thankful for everyone and everything that we are so fortunate to have.  Traditionally, it is a feast day to give thanks for the harvest.

It is very exciting because once thanksgiving is over, you know that the next holiday coming up is Christmas.  There are about four weeks after Thanksgiving until Christmas and winter break.  I know most people at Pendleton cannot wait until Christmas break so they can go home and see their families and friends.  For now though, we have to focus for three more weeks on school and our sports then we can celebrate and do whatever we want at home.
