Good advice can also be bad advice.

Good advice can also be bad advice.

What has it come down to when you can do something selfless and do good for someone else and get in trouble for it. How would you feel if you were being investigated for cheating when all you did was drop out of a match because of an injury? That is what happened to the 19-year-old Caroline Wozniacki during her match against Anna Kremer. Caroline was leading the match 7-5 and 5-0 , but was suffering from a hamstring injury so her father gave her the advice to drop out of the match knowing she would not be healthy enough for the second round. Not thinking of herself, she dropped out and forfeited the match to Anna letting her go through to the next round. Unfortunately, her father’s comment was heard through a microphone all over the internet giving the people the chance to bet on the match before it was called. Now Caroline is being investigated for “purposely” giving up the match. It is just not fair because all she did was protect her body. What is the world coming to nowadays?

do nothing, say nothing, be nothing to escape criticism

Criticism is something that can be used in a helpful way or something used to put a person down. There are always people who will try to put you down to make themselves look or feel better. It is just one of those things that you have to learn to deal with when someone is trying to help or put you down. Going to a school with so many great athletes and coaches makes it a little hard to realize when they are trying to help. There are plenty of times when my coach has told me I am doing something totally wrong and that I need to work on it. Instead of getting mad and frustrated I noticed that he was only telling me this so that I can make my game just that much better. The hardest time to realize whether someone is there to help or to hurt you is when a kid say something bad to you. Sometimes your own teammates will try to help you but most likely, they are trying to act better than you. When it comes down to those moments you will just have to use your own best judgement, but you should not automatically assume they are trying to put you down. There are very few times that someone will be putting you down at IMG because they are all there to help you achieve your greatest potential.

The process of getting into college is the most important thing in a teenager’s life yet the hardest at the same time. This is not just something that you can pick in a week or month. This school will be your home for the next for years or maybe more. This is the first big decision that is to be made on your own. Of course there will be people who will try to tell you what college is best for you and where they went and why you should go. To be totally honest you should go visit the school that you want to go to because what is right for one may not be right for another. In my opinion  I would personally choose the school that caters most to the major that you want persue. It will make you happier in the end.

"28th amendment freedom of clothing"
“28th amendment – freedom of clothing”

So I found out just one more thing that people have figured out to do to keep kids from showing their independence.  It seems that people will find any way to restrict kids from either doing what they think is wrong or out of the normal.  So they decided to make up this thing for schools called the dress code. It consists of kids wearing what they would never wear without being forced to.  I believe that having the right to wear your own clothing is a way to express yourself in a good way.  What people wear can tell you a whole lot about them and I feel that is the way it should be.  Let’s be honest, no one wants to just be like everyone else around them everyone wants to be their own individual. So my final thought is that there should be a 28th amendment – freedom of clothing.

"1 down 30 more papers to go."

"1 down 30 more papers to go."

Have you ever heard the expression of “all work and no play makes up for a sad day?” Its a very common expression used mostly by adults who work long hours and almost seven days a week. Believe it or not kids can be over worked as well as adults. I sometimes think that once adults turn over the age of 30 they forget all about the hardships that they had to encounter as kids. The stress, late nights of homework, the extra sport practices and the drama at school. Just living with your parents can be stressful. All those things can put a serious load on a kid’s back to where sometimes we just want to give up because of the stress of being over worked. Adults also love to use the saying “Back in my day…” I hate to break the news to all you more experienced people but not that much has changed about being a kid in this world. We all deal with the same problems that you dealt with when you were our age . So we would like it if you can cut us some slack so that we do not feel overworked.

teamworkO how this word can can be such a great thing at times yet one of the most disappointing word at other times. Teamwork of course can be applied to sports in which people have to work together to accomplish a common goal. That common goal is and will always be to win. Your teammate can be your biggest help and your biggest treat on a team. Lets say you are in the last few seconds of a basketball game and you trust your teammate to make the winning shot. You do everything that you are supposed to do and get the ball to him that he takes the shot and makes it. That is an example of teamwork at its finest. Like I said earlier, team work can also be the most disappointing word at times. Picture this, at bottom of the 9th inning you get a base hit and all your teammate has to do now is put the ball in play to win the game, but he strikes out. That is just how quickly teamwork can become bad. No matter what happens though teamwork is still the most important thing and is always helpful to have someone on your side than against you.

So the mood is set just right and the moment is perfect. You close your eyes, heart starts to race and then you stop and the moment is lost. That was just one example of when making the first move on your love one goes wrong. Making the first move is a form of pure art and skill that takes much time to explore and learn. The first kiss is the most important part of a relationship. The first kiss can dictate rather or not the relationship is going to be good, bad or if there will be a relationship at all. This one moment can occur many times where you feel like nothing can go wrong, but so quickly does the situation turn upside down. The first move must not be planned or prepared for or it will never go right. The first move is mostly based on instincts and guts, the rest of the equation will add up and flow. There is a reason why the first move is known as the hardest part of the relationship. Just make sure that you seize the moment.Smart%20Move%20-%20FULL%20COLOR%20RGB%20(for%20web%20and%20monitors%20use)
