The 2010 season will mark the first season in which the Jets and Giants will play in it. It is also the most expensive stadium ever built. This site beat out locations in South Florida and Tampa for the Super Bowl. It is expected that the Super Bowl here will generate about $550 million in revenue for the local economy. It will also help the stadium gain naming rights, which could be worth $500 million. This location for the Super Bowl goes against the typical warm weather site. At the time of the Super Bowl, it is typically around 30° F. Before the Super Bowl comes to the Meadowlands, it will be held in Dallas, Indianapolis, and New Orleans.
