Will, right, and me,left.

Will Wei was born on November 26, 1990 in Shanghai, China. He came to the Academy without having played golf before. His father had been encouraged to send him here by the father of another Pendleton student, Eddie Wang. Since coming here for 2 years, he has dramatically improved on the academic and athletic front. He is one of my closest friends and his appearance alone livens up the atmosphere of the room. He has a very amicable personality and is always smiling. He has decided to continue his academic and athletic pursuits by playing golf for the University of Rochester next year in New York. The school is ranked #35 academically in the country according to US News and World Report. Prior to arriving at IMG, he attended a private boarding school in Australia and was an avid rugby player. In his free time, he enjoys working out and listening to house music. His father is his biggest role model. He is looking to pursue a business degree and follow in his dad’s footsteps. His dad’s company manufactures flavors and fragrances for 90% of the items you find in supermarkets in China. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and I am confident he will fare well in the years to come.
