3rd Grader Caught Doling out Drugs in School

At Turner Elementary School in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, an eight year old third grade boy was found in possession of dozens of packets of heroin. He had been handing them out to many of his classmates secretly. According to the police statement, “Apparently a teacher saw the student fumbling with items from his pocket and investigated what he was doing. That is when the drugs were discovered,” Police uncovered 60 folded packs of heroin from the child. Each pack consisted of a plastic bag with an ink emblazoned logo of “Trust Me” on them. With further search, investigators discovered eighteen bags identical to the ones in question that had already been used and thrown away in garbage cans. According to CNN, “The child, whose name has not been released, is not expected to be charged because of his age, the Wilkinsburg Police Department said Wednesday. Lindsey Neyland, public relations director for the Wilkinsburg School District, said the incident happened Tuesday morning at Turner Elementary School. Wilkinsburg is a small town near Pittsburgh.” This is a serious and bizarre case that brings up many questions and inquiries as to why? and how? The investigation is still ongoing and so far there have been no arrests.
