Hayward Makes Major League Debut

Posted on: April 13, 2010

Can you believe two years ago Jason Hayward was just in high school?  Bell believe it because he is now a starter for the Atlanta Braves!  Hayward was known as the best minor league prospect for this years season.   Some people said he was to good to be true, meaning he wasn’t what all the hype was about.  For opening day against the Chicago Cubs, all of his family was in attendance for the game and screaming at the top of their lungs for his first at bat.  First pitch hayward swings out of his shoes and hits it “a mile” down the right field line, the announcer stated if its fair its gone! Soon enough Jason was rounded the bases with excitment because his first major league at bat was a home-run!.  After the game the media talked with Chipper Jones about Hayward and asked if he was equivalent to you (Chipper) when he played his first Major League game.  Chipper said “No way!” “Jason is so polished it is like he is a seasoned player that has played many years”.  That was probably the proudest moment of Jason Hayward, I know that would sure be mine!”
