According to a new study the more time you spend on the web the more unhappy you will mostly be. According too a study deriving from Great Britain, many Internet addicts seem to fall under depression. Apparently in Britain there were more then 1,000 residents between the ages of 16-51 and 1.2% of them were labeled “internet addicts.” There was an obvious connection between the amount of time spent searching the web and levels of depression. I found this new study very interesting because how many people here in the US rely on the Internet to pretty much live life. The Internet has made a huge impact on the everyday life of most people. I think that the Internet is gratifying because of how much you can do on it. You can email, chat, play games, and all of the above. It is not a surprise that those who are Internet obsessed seemed to become depressed overtime because the Internet can really attract you away from in person social interaction, which can lead to a decline of a social life away from the cyber world.
