Ad for the Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars.

The full list of nominees for the 83rd annual Academy Awards was released this morning. The Oscars will air live on March 7th. It will be extensively covered by ABC.

Many famous and big time movies are vying for the prestigious accolades at the awards this year. A frontrunner for Best Picture and Best Director is James Cameron’s movie, Avatar. Although it was only released in late December, it has broken many many box office records and has blown audiences away.
