Celebrities’ donations to Haiti

After the devastating earthquakes in Haiti, Hollywood celebrities, musicians and athletes have acted up to raise funds to help the destroyed country. George Clooney and Wyclef Jean will be hosting the Haiti Telethon this Friday in which Bono, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Sting and Justin Timberlake will be performing to raise money for victims. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the couple who is known for being charitable and generous donated $1 million. Lady Gaga who is well known for having a kind heart has decided to give all money earned from her New York concert to charities. She later claimed that merchandises purchased from her website from January 24th onwards will go 100% towards relief efforts.

Tiger Woods: $3 million
Sandra Bullock: $1 million
George Clooney: $1 million
Oprah Winfrey: $ 1 million
Celebrities who love twitter like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Ben Stiller have used their influential voices to urge people to donate for Haiti victims on their twitter’s site. Everyone is doing all they can to help so if you have not already donated, please text the word: HAITI to 90999 right now! 10 dollars will be directly donated to the Red Cross. Please don’t sit back and think that your donation will not make a difference because it will! Every little bit adds up.
