Posted on: December 4, 2009

In the game of football, there has been some widespread of criticizim about football players getting concussions.  Also, to make things worse for players, they are allowed to get back in the game after experiencing some symptoms.  Back then it was safe for football players to go back out and play, but recent changes have been announced.  The new rule of this issue will go out, after it goes through a congressional hearing, to the public and warn about this kind of injury.  Now according to a league statement, “symptoms that require immediate removal include amnesia, poor balance and an abnormal neurological examination, whether or not those symptoms quickley subside.”  As of our society, this may impact on the young players, as well as the N.F.L. players, of the repetition of concussions may be serious.  Speaking of N.F.L. players getting concussions, two of the last season’s super bowl quarterbacks coped with injuries including, Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kurt Warner of the Arizona Cardinals.
