Tiger Woods shot a closing round of 68 to win the Australian Masters on Sunday. Woods finished with a 14-under total for the tournament. Woods took the lead on Sunday with three birdies on his first six holes. The icing on the cake was his tee-shot on the par-3 15th that stopped six feet away from the pin. Woods finished with a 2-shot victory over Greg Chalmers, who shot a closing-round 2-under 70. This is Woods seventh victory of the year and 82nd victory world-wide victory of his career. On average, there were about 25,000 people in attendance all four days. This was due in large part to Woods’s presence, who received a $3 million appearance. The Australian government paid half of that fee and it estimates that they, in return, will make $20 million. Woods’s last tournament of the year will be the Chevron World Challenge, which Woods hosts, in California the first week of December.
