Do the right thing. Call 9-1-1

An 18-year-old girl named Margarita is very proud of what she did this past week. It all started when she heard the news that a girl in her neighborhood had been gang raped. She decided to make the right decision and call 9-1-1 even though she was not at the scene. In her conversation with 9-1-1 she described everything that she heard through the word spread around Richmond. They say that ten or more people may have watched the young girl get raped but did not think anything of it. Instead of taking out there phones to call 9-1-1 they took pictures. No one reported the girl lying on the ground because they were afraid of being a snitch. Margarita. People across the country were supportive of the victim with letters, cards, bears, etc. that say that they hope that this event will not destroy her faith; that she should not be the victim, that she should be the strong survivor. The victim’s survival may not have occurred if Margarita did not act like she did. I think that this is terrible that someone would even watch this terrible crime without trying to stop it. We should all learn from this and be alert to anything similar to this and the most important lesson is to react to  these types of situations.
