These animals are threatened by hunting. Bolt paid $13,700 to adopt the cheetah. He will also pay another $3,000 a year to care for the cheetah, which will be raised at an animal orphanage in Nairobi. Bolt named his new pet Lighting Bolt. Bolts money will also go to the Kenya wildlife service and to the Kenya’s endangered species. Bolt was joined on the trip with former 110 meter hurdles olympic champion Colin Jackson. Bolt was thinking about adopting little lions but when he got the opportunity to feed a grown lion. However, he was a little to scared and decided to stay with the cheetah. Lighting bolt is among the cheetahs in which their mother abandoned them. This money will help save animals life in Kenya.
