Texas Hitting Coach Not Coming Back

Posted on: October 15, 2009

Rudy JaramilloTexas Rangers Hitting Coach Rudy Jaramillo has been let go from the free agent market.  Also, he did have an offer from the Rangers, but he decided to not accept the offer.  Instead he agreed to will be part of the Chicago Cubs Organization.  In the minds of the Cubs,  they think that he is the answer to their hitting problems and be a real help.  Rudy was with the Rangers coaching staff since 1999, and he has been a valuable part of the team.  He made the team so effective in their offense, its been mainly about power and speed.  The Rangers line-up always took advantage of situations,  also they had a hand of power.  Thus having power in the line-up, they had Mark Texeira, Michael Young the team captain, Hank Blalock and some others.  He contributed to the club, he even was yelling a situation to the hitter until he got it right.  The main portion of the teams hitting is Jaramillo’s coaching of having a power line-up.
