SCF vs. Baseball Academy

On Wednesday, the IMG Baseball Academy walked (literally) over to the campus of State College of Florida to play the manatees. The Baseball Academy played SCF earlier in the year and lost 8-2 so they were looking for a win in their rematch. The game started out pretty close but SCF is one of the best junior college teams in Florida which makes them one of the top teams in the country. Blake Perry started on the mound for the Baseball Academy. IMG’s team hung with the Manatees for the first few innings then a three run home run by the manatees’ clean up hitter put them out of reach for the Baseball Academy. It was a good effort by the Baseball Academy but the State College of Florida was just too much for the younger IMG team to handle. Some day the IMG Baseball Academy will win a game against the Manatees but most of all it is a good experience for the younger players to play bigger, stronger and faster junior college kids.
