South Korea beat the United States 3-0 to book their second round place in the knockout round of the Under-20 World Cup. On October 2nd, South Korea played really well against the United States. South Korea’s Kim Young-gwon, Kim Bo-kyung, and Koo Ja-cheol’s penalty after Italian referee Roberto Rosetti sent off Ike Opara all helped to give South Korea the 3 goal advantage. It shocked the United States team. After each goal in Egypt, the players knelt down in front of Hong Myung-bo. Our players had a strong will to win, the coach said. We showed them a better mentality than the United States. South Korea’s next match is Paraguay. The South Korea national team is ready to beat Paraguay. But Paraguay is not an easy team and it will be a tough match. It was really great game the coach said that it reminded him of playing the 2002 world cup. The South Korea coach said he’s looking forward to playing with Paraguay. The United States is shocked because they lost the Chicago Olympics in 2016 and lost in 2009 U-20 Egypt World Cup.
