Phillies Keep Winning

Posted on: October 4, 2009

Happier Than Ever in Philadelphia

It doesn’t get much better in the city of brotherly; a new mayor has been elected to reverse the crime rate, the cheese steaks still taste better than ever and the Phillies keep on winning. The Phillies have claimed the 2009 NL East title and the second best record in the National League. They have been assured home-field advantage in the National League Division Series. The Phillies have now clinched the NL East for the past 3 years.  October is just the beginning and as the temperature begins to drop into the lows 40’s, the Phillies are determined and ready to reclaim their title as World Champions. This past week Phillies starting pitcher Jamie Moyer had surgery but assures everyone he is fine and continues to smile and support his team as he recovers. With the depth of the Phillies pitching staff and their powerful line up, there is little chance that a repeat as World Champions won’t occur.
