Texting when Driving

Posted on: September 23, 2009

We all text, if it is in class or just hanging by the pool. For some of the older students at Pendleton, we even text when driving. Could you image that it may be a law to not be able to text when driving? Well the state of Florida is trying to pass a law to prohibits any type of messaging when driving. It is considered to be the most serve distractions when driving. This draft has two sides to it. The first is very serious, texting messaging when driving can be very dangerous. On the other hand though, text messaging can be done at stop lights. Plus wouldn’t it be considered your own risk. Anther issue is business people have to use texting to support their business. So is it right to ban texting from driving? It is a form of communication and can be done at a complete stop but it can be very dangerous in a form of distraction.
