Margarita, Venezuela

Posted on: September 11, 2009

margaritaMargarita is a Caribbean island of Venezuela, located at the Northeast of Caracas, the country’s capital, within a 35 minute flight, or a couple of hours by ferry from Puerto La Cruz or Cumana. It is one of the best tourist places in Venezuela. I personally have been there and its a very good place to go visit and explore all the beautiful places that Margarita can give you. The beaches are incredible, Margarita is well known for the quality of its beaches. Margarita being an island surrounded by beaches lets you find the beach that you want, there are ones without waves and with waves, large or small, crowded or no, deep or not, cold or warm. Margarita is a very nice place to around. Churches, castles, nature. Everything is close and going from one place to another is usually a good trip. One of the best attraction in Margarita is the Lagoon of La Restinga National Park. You ride on a boat through the mangroves and reach a long beach. It’s a really nice place and there you have the opportunity to have fish or seafood for lunch under a hut.
