The notorious Quentin Tarantino, who is famous for such movies as Pulp fiction and Revoir Dogs comes out with another classic gory fim. The film is titled Inglourious Basterds, stars actors such as Brad Pitt and Melanie Laurent, opened the weekned with 37 million dollars at the box offices and has taken in a impressive 71 million so far. The film takes places during the warning days of World War II, in Nazi occupied France. The movie in its own way makes fun of history, in a both serious and comical ways. The movie is about a group of Jewish soldiers who call themselves “The Basterds.” “The Basterds” go around killing nazi’s and collecting their scalps in order to spread fear throughout the Nazi’s. There is also a side plot about a young Jewish girl, who witnessed her family die at the hands of nazis and comes up with a plan to avenge their deaths. Tarantino a master at bringing his movies all the plots together at the end does just that, which makes for a very exiting film. The film got very good reviews receiving a 8.7 out of 10 on imdb.com, and a 89 percent tile on rottentomatoes.com. All and all this is yet another masterpiece by Tarantino which combines action, gore, and comedy all into one hilarious action packed film.
