Posted on: August 27, 2009

ted_kennedy2Many people will know that the Kennedy family has had many tragedies in the last 40 or so years. The first one was the assassination of president john F Kennedy at the age of 46 during a political parade in Texas. A few years later, Robert Kennedy was assassinated while campaigning for the presidential seat. Ted Kennedy’s death comes not to that much of a shock, since he has been fighting a brain tumor for the last few years. He died peacefully in his home in Hyannis Port. In nearly 50 years in the Senate, Kennedy served alongside 10 presidents, his brother John F Kennedy among them. His only run for the White House ended in defeat in 1980. Senator Kennedy was a very popular person within the American public.
