Death of Another Kennedy

Posted on: August 27, 2009

Early in the morning on August 25th2009, with the majority of his family by his bed side, Senator Edward Moore “Ted” Kennedy passed away in his home in Massachusetts. Kennedy went through a very tough battle with a malignant brain tumor since May 2008 which greatly affected his time he spent in the Senate. Ted Kennedy was a U.S Senator from Massachusetts and a member of the Democratic Party. Kennedy has been in office since November 1962 as he has served nine terms in the U.S Senate. At the time of his death Ted Kennedy was the second most senior member of the Senate (the only senator that was older than Kennedy was Robert Byrd of West Virginia) and the third longest serving senator in U.S. history. Kennedy was best known for being a very loud and outspoken person and also known as the most effective Senator. He was the most prominent living member of the Kennedy family. Ted was the younger brother of President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy – both victims of assassination. Ted Kennedy pushed for many years for the U.S. to have national health care something he worked very hard on with the Obama administration.

  • Rob Dresser: Many people have a poor grasp of what this is about. At its core this is about advanced stage terminal illness and relieving those in that condition
