Annika SorenstamAnnika Sorenstam was born on October 9, 1970.  She has won 72 LPGA events in her career along with 18 more  international events.  She has been an inspiration to many people in the world, myself included.  The Swedish golfer was leading the women golf money list with an outstanding $22 million when she was playing.  Annika retired a year ago, and in my opinion the LPGA hasn’t been the same without her.  She was the only woman golfer to shoot the score of 59 in a tournament and still holds that record today.  Her success throughout her life is one that will never be forgotten.  Annika has created several things on her own because of her success.  They include the Annika Academy, Annika clothing, and a golf course design.  She has been a very successful woman and has inspired thousands.  I am unable to put into words all that she has done for woman’s golf, and her success is incredible.  Annika left the game of golf when she was on top, and even though she has retired she will be respected and remembered forever.
